About CIGNA Dental CIGNA Dental has for many years been recognised as the market leader for group dental benefits. The longest running UK provider, CIGNA have built their reputation on quality of service and benefits. Their experience and knowledge in the market means that they insure a large number of the FSTE 100 companies, including the Financial Services Authority (FSA). CIGNA's comprehensive dental plan range is easy to understand - four plans, all with the same breadth of cover, differing only in annual limit and the levels of reimbursement per item of treatment. Provided that the plan chosen is appropriate to the dental charges typical to the local area, most dental charges will be reimbursed ensuring minimal shortfalls for their members. The Plans Available “Higher Cost Private” With the benefits offered under the Diamond plan our members can afford higher-cost private dental treatment more easily and can claim for treatment to the same monetary value or use the plan to make a contribution to higher cost treatments. There is no need to be dentally fit before joining. Below you will find the list of benefits detailing the re-imbursement limits per item of treatment - and the overall annual maximum benefit. Annual Maximum: £800 Click here for benefit details Click here to compare benefits The pricing structure has been kept as simple as possible which makes adding new employees easy, as does P11D calculations as it is considered a ‘Benefit in Kind’. Pricing is dependant upon the size of the group and the selected level/s of cover. You may wish to offer higher level of cover to senior management, this can easily be achieved to reflect your company's corporate structure. Ask your adviser for a free, no obligation quotation. Following treatment the member pays the dentist and provides a claim form to their dentist. The dentist completes and signs the treatment section of the claim form. The member provides membership details on the claim form, signs and then posts this to CIGNA along with the receipts. For major treatment, authorisation must be sought first. As there is no underwriting as such on the plans; it makes the application process very simple. For new groups, we simply require a listing (often a spreadsheet ) detailing who is to be covered and which level of cover required. A separate payment form is required to set up the direct debit, thereafter the scheme will run on an annually renewable basis. The contract as a whole will be reviewed by CIGNA Dental and any premium increases and Benefit adjustments would be applied to the plan at the renewal anniversary of the plan. We have listed a range of useful documents to help explain the plans.
