I am looking to insure myself and my wife whilst I am working in Italy. I have been told that we cannot get insurance. Is it true? AThere are insurers who are willing to insure you whilst you are out in Italy.  I understand that many insurance companies view Italy as politically unstable and, therefore, will not insure an ex-pat (based upon Life and Income Benefits). However, I am in the fortunate position of being able to insure you, and your wife, for a realistic premium; too many companies promise the Earth, only to charge for it!
