I have had Medical Insurance in one form or another for over 40 years, only now am I considering stopping it as it has become so expensive I can no longer afford it. This is sadly a common complaint we hear about medical insurance. Many insurers are not pro-active enough in recommending suitable products for their members; therefore people stay on the expensive plans until the leave when some prudent planning would have saved on the premium. Also, there are a number of insurers who either fix the age at which you join the plan, or fix the premium. These options provide a more stable platform for the years ahead. They do not always work out the most cost effective solutions in the shorter term, but can save a small fortune over a lifetime. If you are concerned about this, we recommend that you speak to your adviser… we try to ensure clients are always on the most suitable plans available.
