Did you know that most travel insurance policies have an exclusion that applies to all sections of a travel policy which prohibits Travel to a country, specific area or event which the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) or the World Health Organisation (WHO) has advised against all travel or all but essential travel?
In theory, at least, this could easily invalidate your policy, or sections of your policy, should you travel to a destination against FCO or WHO advice.
It is important that you check with the FCO before you travel to ensure that your destination is not under any FCO alert.
